Jason W. Adkins
Versatile Milton Attorney
As founder of Adkins Law Firm in Milton, I focus my practice in real estate, business law, and estate planning cases. Prior to starting my own firm, I worked as an associate attorney at Moore & Rutt, P.A., handling real estate matters, personal injury cases, civil litigation, legislative drafting, business law, and related cases.
Born and raised in Milford, Delaware, I received my Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Richmond in 2006 and worked as a commercial property and casualty insurance agent for three years following graduation. I then pursued law school, earning my Juris Doctor magna cum laude from Widener Law School in 2013. I was admitted to the Delaware State Bar the same year.
I am a member of the Sussex County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Terry-Carey American Inn of Court. I have also served as an attorney for the Delaware House of Representatives in the 148th General Assembly and, because I speak Spanish, I’ve provided pro bono legal services to a number of migrant minors.
Within the community, I am a founding board member and a past president of the Next Gen South of the Delaware Community Foundation, and I serve as one of the Governor’s appointed members of the Delaware Community Involvement Advisory Committee. I was a 2010 fellow of the Leadership Delaware Program. At 24, I served a term as the youngest elected Milford City Councilman, and in 2014, I was nominated for the Delaware Business Times’ “40 under 40.”
